Under the hood of every 2024 Equinox is a turbocharged 1.5-liter I4 engine that produces 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available for drivers who want to optimize traction.

Design

The Equinox has five seats and plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and get comfortable. When you need to transport your belongings, you can find 29.9 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the rear seats and 63.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. Available interior features for the Equinix include power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and ambient interior lighting.

Technology & Safety

The Equinox comes standard with a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen, which provides easy control over vehicle settings, navigation, audio, apps, and more. Standard wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® let you connect your smartphone to the infotainment system. Six speakers are standard, while a seven-speaker Bose® premium audio system is available.

Standard safety features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and rear seat reminder. Available safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and adaptive cruise control.
