Other features include skid plates, tow hooks and hill descent on the Z71 trim. The maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds means the Traverse can haul plenty of gear for those weekend outings. Other capability features include suspension dampers and a terrain mode that allows the Traverse to switch between road and weather conditions. You can expect to drive up to 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

The new Chevrolet Traverse has a large 17.7-inch standard digital touchscreen. It is coupled with an 11-inch standard information center. Surround vision is optional. The infotainment center includes Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, allowing you to easily access your music, podcasts, messages and more. The available head-up display allows you to get real-time traffic alerts without taking your eyes off the road as you drive around southern Illinois.
